Swyft Filings built its business around turning paperwork around quickly, and for a founder who needs the entity to exist before the end of the week, that is a legitimate thing to buy. Their pricing is also out in the open. Both the amount and the billing interval appear in public where anyone can read them, which is more than several competitors manage. Nothing here is an accusation of concealment.

The interval is simply the part most shoppers skim.

Four Charges, One Address

The advertised number is $149. The period it covers is three months.

Multiply before you compare, and the yearly figure is roughly $596, with no separate opening-year softening that our review could locate. That is the number belonging in any honest side-by-side, and it is about six times our flat rate.

Why this catches people is not mysterious. The eye sorts stickers, and a $149 sticker sits comfortably between a $125 one and a $199 one, so it gets filed mentally in the middle of the market. The interval, printed truthfully, does not survive the scan. Smaller receipts, much larger total.

Rhode Island's Own Yardstick

The state gives you a clean way to feel the size of $596.

Keeping an LLC on the Rhode Island register costs $50 a year, paid once inside the February 1 to May 1 window. So a single year of Swyft agent coverage costs nearly twelve years of the filing that actually keeps your company in existence. Put differently: the state would let you stay a company until almost 2038 for what one year of that agent subscription costs.

Getting Out of a Quarterly Contract in Rhode Island

Rhode Island posts its annual report reminder to whoever occupies the agent line, so an interval where nobody is properly appointed is an interval where the state's own correspondence has no destination.
